CA Teens to sponsor charity walk to raise funds for the Save Darfur Coalition
The Columbia Association (CA) Teen Advisory Committee will host a charity walk to bring awareness and raise funds for the Save Darfur Coalition on Saturday, August 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Wilde Lake Park. The walk will be held to help bring attention to the 4.9 million people suffering in the Sudan.
Registration is $20 and includes a t-shirt and water at the start of the walk. Checks should be made payable to: Save Darfur Coalition. For more information or to register, please call 410-715-5523. The walk will begin at the Boat House at 10027 Hyla Brook Road in Columbia.
CA’s Teen Advisory Committee is made up of dedicated local high school students who bring new and exciting opportunities to the teen community in Howard County. The committee was chartered by the CA Board six years ago and continues to sponsor programs, activities and fundraising opportunities for teens in Howard County.
