CA’s Wii for Warriors Committee to host Wii game-playing booth at Howard County Fair

 

The Columbia Association (CA) Teen Advisory Committee will sponsor a Wii video game-playing booth at the 4-H Activities Center at the Howard County Fair on Thursday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in support of Wii for Warriors. Visitors to the booth may play Wii tennis or try Wii Fit exercises for a $2 donation. Enthusiastic participants who try all the exercises may be eligible to win prizes.

Nintendo Wii Fit games are used at Walter Reed Medical Center as a method of physical therapy for soldiers who have lost limbs or who have traumatic brain injury. The Nintendo games are provided at no cost by Wii for Warriors. Please visit www.WiisForWarriors.com for more information.

CA’s Teen Advisory Committee is made up of dedicated local high school students who bring new and exciting opportunities to the teen community in Howard County. The committee was chartered by the CA Board six years ago and continues to sponsor programs, activities and fundraising opportunities for teens in Howard County.
